So, how did this all happen? In 2012, after having met through eHarmony, Zack and Becky started dating. At the time, Becky was living in Wilder, VT, near White River Junction, and Zack was living in St. Albans, VT, near the Canadian border. The long distance relationship survived, with both Zack and Becky visiting the other as often as possible.
In the summer of 2013, Zack was quite certain he wanted Becky to be in his life on a more regular basis, and invited her and her two cats to move up to St. Albans, to join him and his two cats. It was at this time an exciting career opportunity opened up for Becky in the Burlington area, making the two-hour move north a very appealing decision. That summer, after two trips with a U-Haul, and a long ride with upset cats, Becky made St. Albans her home.
As both Becky and Zack love to travel, taking winter vacations in the Caribbean became a regular event. During a trip to Jamaica in February of 2014, Zack surprised Becky with a marriage proposal during a romantic, candlelit dinner for two in the resort’s cozy wedding gazebo, overlooking the ocean, with the sound of waves crashing below. Of course, she said yes!
With the wedding planned for this August, Zack and Becky look forward to starting their lives together as husband and wife, and can’t wait for their friends and family to witness the beginning of this exciting new chapter in their lives!
